My name is Ellie and I am a graduate of General Assembly, focusing on Product Design. I have a passion for creating digital solutions that are impactful and helping solve user’s daily problems.

In my previous life, I worked in Talent Acquisition giving strategic hiring guidance to my company and their hiring managers. Being in Talent Acquisition, I built very strong relationships with both candidates and internal teams. I enjoyed this field because I always had the desire to make connections with people from different backgrounds, experiences and ideas. Talent Acquisition is also about being strategic and creative with your solutions.

It was at a brewery somewhere in Puerto Vallarta where I came to the decision to leave an industry I thrived in. As much as I loved HR and recruiting, I realized I was not challenged enough and I wanted to do something more technical. What I did want to bring with me in my next adventure was the human interaction and relationship building element.

Much like Talent Acquisition, understanding human experiences and backgrounds is essential to Product Design. I continue to use this skill to help people accomplish their goals by making digital experiences that positively impact others. 

In my spare time, you might find me on a plane traveling to my next adventure, reading current events, reading history books, or talking with people in the design community.
